Quantum transport and non-equilibrium dynamics in topological superconducting systems

Description

The doctoral project concerns the theoretical study of models for topological superconducting circuits and qubits. The research objective of the first part is the understanding of the non-equilibrium dynamics and the quasiparticle poisoning effects in Andreev bound states of conventional and topological superconducting junctions. In the second part of the doctoral project, we will investigate the effect of dissipation and decoherence due to the quasiparticle poisoning for the adiabatic dynamics of topological superconducting qubits based on Majorana states.
